Hola Familia!

So I forgot that last week was the 4th of July... Does that mean I'm not American anymore? I suppose so hahahaha!. No, I'm still a Gringo like you guys! So I saw the pictures on dropbox. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun on the 4th of July and at the Futbol game!

I've been living through the Copa America. Whenever Peru was playing NOBODY was in the street. Everyone was in their house watching the match and whenever Peru scored a goal it went from complete silence to complete chaos. People starting screaming goal, there were fireworks horns and everything! It was awesome! We definitely knew when Peru won! It was really awesome and funny! Peru won 3rd place! Peru plays pretty well. I wouldn't be surprised if they're in the next World Cup. One of my Zone leaders is from Chili. Hes really happy! hahaha!

This week we've been teaching and preaching like always. We found a new family that wants to get baptized, but like the last family they need to get married. We also are teaching a few other people that are starting to progress. They're reading the Book of Mormon more often and are starting to attend church! It's really awesome!

Yesterday was fast and testimony meeting. It's most likely the last one I'll have here in this ward because I have been here 6 months now. I bore my testimony about how keeping the commandments of God makes us happy. It was great I felt the spirit strongly while bearing my testimony.

Also, I had a cool missionary moment yesterday. We were walking to our next appointment and there was a group of about 50 people that were all talking about paving the road with concrete. The road is all dirt. One of them yelled out " Creo que este gringo puede pagarlo! " (I think that this American can pay for it!) The gentleman thought that I couldn't understand him, so he yelled out something a little bit rude. Well I understood and said to him "Hermano no puedo pagarlo! No tengo plata por una pista asi!" (Brother, I can't pay for it! I dont have money for a street like that!) He was extremely surprised that I understood him and starting laughing. We walked about 15 steps more and I received a strong impression to go back and contact the 50 people that were there. So I did it. I turned around went back and said:

("Hey brother , we are missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We share a message about God and Jesus Christ and you are invited to church on Sunday at 8 am . I promise in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that by listening to the message that we share, you are going to change and improve your lives, will leave the bad things in your life and be born again. You are all invited to the church Sunday at 8 in the morning. ")

You guys can go translate that. They were all silent. None of them spoke a word. They only said "Gracias". It was awesome. I won't forget that experience. I felt the spirit work within me to call those people to repent of their sins and come unto their Savior Jesus Christ. I love being a missionary!

Love you guys!
-Elder Wilson
